As a travel enthusiast, I have visited various places in China, but my recent trip to Xiamen was exceptional. Xiamen, also known as Amoy, is a coastal city in Fujian province. Discovering the Natural Beauty of Xiamen
On the first day of our trip, we visited Gulangyu Island, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This island is famous for its colonial architecture, beautiful beaches, and scenic views. We took a ferry to reach the island and spent the whole day exploring its various attractions. We visited the Sunlight Rock, which is the highest point on the island and offers a panoramic view of Xiamen city. We also saw the Shuzhuang Garden, which is a traditional Chinese garden with a beautiful rockery and a lotus pond. The island is also known for its street food and snacks, which we enjoyed trying out throughout the day.

Xiamen has a rich history and culture, and we got to experience it on our second day in the city. We visited the Nanputuo Temple, which is an ancient Buddhist temple that dates back to the Tang dynasty. This temple is famous for its giant Buddha statue, which stands at 18 meters high. We also visited the Hulishan Fortress, which was built in the late 19th century to defend Xiamen from foreign invasions. In the evening, we watched the popular Hokkien Opera, which is a traditional Chinese opera that originated in Fujian province. The opera was performed in the local dialect and gave us a glimpse into Xiamen's rich culture and history.
