1. Travel
①Travel这个单词用得很多呀，毕竟每个人心中都有一个环游世界“travel around the world”的梦想啊。Travel一般指的是从一个地方到另一个地方去，尤其指 长途 旅行。
We’re planning to travel across America this summer.
我们计划今年夏天横穿美国旅行。
He has travelled extensively in China.
他游历了中国的很多地方。
②travel也可以作为名词来使用，就是指旅游。
Information on travel in New Zealand is available at the hotel.
新西兰的旅行信息可以在宾馆获取。
We met some very interesting people on our travels in Thailand.
我们在泰国旅游时碰到了一些很有趣的人。
*出现travels的时候，一般前面都会有one’s。
She has had many adventures in her travels.
2. Trip
①Trip作名词一般是指 短期 出行、旅行。
比较一下travel和trip：
Susan’s husband isn’t in town at the moment; he is on a business trip . He travels to many different countries. Susan met her husband on a trip to the Bahamas.
*不能说a travel。
Trip常用搭配：
A round trip 往返旅行
A business trip 出差
A day trip 一日游
②travel也能作动词，这时候它表示绊倒的意思。
3. Journey
Journey和trip最大的不同在于，trip好比就是你从上海到米兰，旅程结束后还要 回到 上海，这就是trip，一般待的时间比较短。而journey则没有时间长短的限制，而且你从上海到米兰之后也 不一定会回 上海。
而且 journey 一般指陆路、空路或海路旅行：
The nights became colder as they journeyed north.（他们北上的过程中，夜晚变得越来越冷）。
voyage 通常指乘船或乘坐飞行器进行的长途旅行：the voyage to the moon in 1972（1972年的登月之旅）。
